Russian Wheat Crop Seen at 37.5 to 38.5 Million Tons by IKAR

Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Russia's wheat crop may come to 37.5 million to 38.5 million metric tons this year, according to Moscow-based Institute for Agriculture Market Studies.

Total grain crop may be 68 million to 71 million tons, Dmitry Rylko, general director of the institute also known as IKAR, said by e-mail today.

The country's wheat crop will be the worst since 2003, when it harvested 34.1 million tons, and less than the 41.5 million tons in 2010, when Russia imposed a 10-month ban on overseas shipments, the U.S. Department of Agriculture data show.
