IKAR downgrades outlook for Russia's wheat harvest to 90 mln tonnes, export potential to 44.5 mln tonnes in 2026

MOSCOW. Aug 11 (Interfax) - The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) has downgraded the forecast for Russia's wheat harvest by 500,000 tonnes to 90 million tonnes in 2026 from 90.5 million tonnes previously, as well as the outlook for the country's potential to export the crop to 44.5 million tonnes in 2026 from 45 million tonnes previously, for the July 2026 to June 2027 crop season, IKAR CEO Dmitry Rylko told Interfax.
