IKAR in Mass MediaRussia's IKAR cuts 2025/26 wheat export forecast to around 44.5 million tonsMOSCOW, May 7 (Reuters) - Russia's IKAR consultancy said on Thursday that it had cut its 2025/26 wheat export forecast for the world's biggest wheat exporter to around 44.5 million metric tons from 46.0 million tons previously. IKAR's head, Dmitry Rylko, said that the downgrade was linked to the strong rouble, which makes exports less profitable, and to a seasonal slowdown in exports towards the end of the marketing season. The rouble has strengthened by more than 4% against the dollar since the start of the year and is expected to remain strong in the coming months due to high international prices for oil, Russia's main commodity. 07 мая 2026 года Source: Reuters | #grain | Comments: 0 Views: 5
