China to buy more pork for reserves to support prices

BEIJING, Aug 30 (Reuters) - China's state planner said on Monday it will continue to buy pork for state reserves to support weak prices in the world's top pork consuming market.

Beijing bought more than 50,000 tonnes of the meat during July after hog prices plunged below the cost of raising pigs.
