Russia Gets White Sugar Shipments Under Tariff-Free Quota

(Bloomberg) -- Russia will receive 11,000 tons of white sugar from Algeria and may receive a total of around 25,000 tons of white sugar shipments from countries including Brazil, India and Morocco in the next few weeks under a tariff-free sugar quota, according to IKAR analyst Evgeny Ivanov.

∙ NOTE: Russia is allowing 350,000 tons of tariff-free white sugar imports from May 15 to Sept 30, in order to reduce pressure on prices, Interfax news agency reported earlier this month
