Russia’s IKAR ups 2019 wheat crop forecast

Its forecast for all grain crops was raised by 700,000 tonnes to 122.7 million tonnes.

MOSCOW: IKAR, a leading agriculture consultancy in Moscow, said on Monday that it had raised its forecast for Russia's 2019, wheat crop by 200,000 tonnes to 75.6 million tonnes.

It did not provide a reason for the upgrade IKAR's estimates for the barley and maize (corn) crops stand at 20.6 million tonnes and 14.1 million tonnes, respectively, it added.
