Russia's IKAR cuts wheat production forecast

MOSCOW, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Russia's IKAR agriculture consultancy has lowered its wheat production forecast for this year to 75 million tonnes from a previous estimate of 75.5 million tonnes, it said on Monday.

IKAR said it cut its forecast following persistent rains across Russia's central and Volga regions, as well as drought and dryness in some places in the Urals and Siberia.
