Russia's Ikar lowers 2019 wheat output forecast

MOSCOW, July 1 (Reuters) - Russia's Ikar agriculture consultancy said on Monday it had lowered its official "base scenario" 2019 production estimate for wheat to 79.3 million tonnes, from 80 million tonnes.

The revised forecast followed three weeks of dry and hot weather in Russia's south, which had had a detrimental effect on the crop, Ikar said.
