Russia's sugar exports surge 61% year on year in the first half of December

Russia's sugar exports totaled 44,084 mt during the first half of December, a 61% increase year on year compared with 27,372 mt exported during the same period last year, according to data from Russian crop research consultancy IKAR. December's sugar exports are already up 19% from the total amount of sugar exported in November. The top destinations for sugar exports in H1 December were Uzbekistan, with 29,916 mt exported; Azeras exported to Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia and Mongolia, IKAR data showed.
