Russian output forecast trimmed

Ikar or the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies has reduced slightly its estimate of Russian beet sugar production in 2013-2014 to 4.39 million mt from 4.43 million mt forecast earlier, Reuters reports. As of January 13th, Russia had produced 4.31 million mt of beet sugar, Ikar said. It expects Russia to import at least 700,000mt of raws in 2013-2014 compared with 460,000mt a year earlier.
