Russia's IKAR cuts 2013 wheat crop forecast by 3 pct

MOSCOW, July 8 (Reuters) - Russia, one of the world's key wheat exporters, may harvest 52.4 million tonnes of wheat in 2013, the head of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) said on Monday.

IKAR has cut its forecast from a previously expected 54 million tonnes due to a continued drought in Volga and Urals regions, the head of IKAR, told Reuters.

It also has cut 2013 grain crop forecast to 91.9 million tonnes from previously expected 94 million tonnes.
