Russian wheat export little changed, analysts raise export estimates for October

MOSCOW, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Russian wheat export prices changed little last week, with analysts continuing to raise their forecasts for October shipments.

The price for Russian wheat with 12.5% protein content for free-on-board (FOB) delivery at the start of December was at $230.50 a metric ton at the end of last week, down $0.50 from the previous week, said Dmitry Rylko, head of the IKAR consultancy.

"It seems impossible to sell at a higher price now," Rylko said.

The Sovecon consultancy estimated the price for Russian wheat with 12.5% protein content at between $230 and $233 a ton FOB compared to $230 to 231 a ton the previous week.

Sovecon left unchanged its estimate of October wheat exports at 5.1 million tons.

IKAR estimates that wheat exports in October may reach 5.5 million tons, a week earlier the estimate was over 5.0 million tons.

Last week, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reaffirmed its forecast for the 2025 grain harvest and 2025/26 season exports. Russia harvested 135 million tons in bunker weight, of which 93.5 million tons were wheat, the Ministry said on Thursday.

Omsk, one of Siberia's key grain-producing regions, declared a state of emergency due to the impact of early snowfall on crops.
