Russia’s beet sugar output in 2014-2015 is likely to be around the 2013-2014 level of 4.4 million mt, Ikar or the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies said in a preliminary assessment on its website.

Sugar beet had been planted on 795,700 ha or 85.9% of the forecast of 926,300ha, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture said on May 6th, Ikar noted. This was up by 58,200ha on the year.
